Nathan Maguire proves he is one of the best in the world again
Nathan Maguire proved yet again that he is one of the world’s best, as Encirc’s corporate partner put in an incredible performance at the 2025 World Para Athletics Championships in New Delhi.
Nathan performed superbly to bring home the bronze medal in the T54 1500m, beating the reigning world champion in the process!
The team GB wheelchair racer, who lives locally to our Elton site, competed in the Wheelchair T54 400m, 800m and 1500m events respectively in the searing heat of India.
After a beneficial week of warm weather training in Dubai, Nathan then took to the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium to pit himself against the very best in the world.
As well as his superb bronze medal, Nathan was 0.2 seconds off a medal in the T54 400m and fifth in the T54 800m, all in the space of six days! A great series of races.
Nathan told us: “I’d had a good winter training camp with an extensive game plan and felt as if it came off in the races.’’
With the hustle and bustle of New Delhi, it’s quite the resumé for 28-year-old Nathan, who has represented Team GB at European, World and Paralympic level, in a career spanning over 10 years.

At Encirc, we are proud of our relationship with Nathan.
Nathan’s hard work, resilience and determination are an inspiration to us all, echoing the values and principles we set as a company.
So, what’s next for the GB star?
“The Commonwealth Games in Glasgow next year!” Nathan excitedly revealed.
“After competing so far away from home, it will be great to see as many people as possible getting behind us which is always a positive.”
The Commonwealth Games will take place from July 23rd to August 2nd, 2026, and we’re thrilled to see Nathan build on his incredible performance in New Delhi as he continues to shine on the world stage.
