Encirc achieves Silver Diversity Mark accreditation
Encirc has taken a major step forward on our inclusion journey, achieving the prestigious Silver Diversity Mark accreditation.
This award recognises the company’s ongoing commitment to building a workplace where every individual, regardless of gender, background, or ability, can thrive.
The Silver accreditation is not just a badge of honour, but an independent acknowledgement that we are driving real, measurable change across our sites.
From championing women in manufacturing and opening new career pathways through schools and colleges, to investing in accessibility and neurodiversity initiatives, we are embedding inclusion into the heart of its business.
Christine White, Director at Diversity Mark (pictured), said: “Congratulations to everyone at Encirc on achieving the Silver Diversity Mark. This is a clear reflection of their commitment to building a truly inclusive and progressive workplace.”
She added: “Their ambitious goals, from increasing female representation and enhancing social mobility through school engagement, to embracing greater age, disability, and neurodiverse inclusion, demonstrate a genuine dedication to meaningful change. We look forward to supporting them on the next stage of their journey.”
Inclusion in Action
Encirc’s Silver accreditation highlights its achievements and future priorities in:
- Women in Manufacturing (WiM): building an inclusive culture where everyone feels respected, supported, and empowered to thrive
- Accessibility: improving support for employees with visual, physical, and neurodivergent needs.
- Social Impact: encouraging greater engagement and job applications from schools and colleges.
The company’s Neurodiversity Committee, established in 2023, has already made strong progress in raising awareness, influencing policies, and introducing supportive tools.
A key example is the rollout of Read & Write software, available to all Encirc employees and their families. The tool helps improve reading, writing, and communication, benefiting everyone from non-native speakers to those who prefer to listen to documents as audio file
Building a culture of belonging
Kate Farmer, Talent and EDI Manager has welcomed this latest development: “I am delighted that we have achieved Silver Diversity Mark accreditation as it is a strong acknowledgement that the progress to date, and future plans in supporting Encirc to become an inclusive employer are robust and can be held to account.”
Sean Murphy, Managing Director at Encirc added: “This is great news for our business. It has been the result of the collective effort and support of many allies across our sites working on improving accessibility, the drive of our WiM and Neurodiversity committees as well as our Ignite team, to name a few.
“Credit goes to all who are helping to remove barriers for underrepresented groups and ensuring every employee can perform at their best. We remain committed to progressing on the Diversity Mark journey, for the benefit of all within Encirc.”
