Trio of accolades for Encirc’s ‘Unsung Hero’ Becky

Encirc’s Becky Dilworth has been in the spotlight recently, making waves and turning heads for her outstanding contributions.
Becky, Internal Communications Manager, has earned a place in The Manufacturer’s Top 100, been named a Top 20 Exemplar within that prestigious group, and selected as one of Enginuity’s 365 Faces of STEM.
A trio of accolades that highlight her outstanding contribution to Encirc, a Vidrala Group company, and the glass industry as well as championing her role as a powerful advocate for STEM.
Becky was nominated by one of her colleagues for The Manufacturer’s Top 100 and was delighted to be not only selected but also named as Top 20 Exemplar.
Now in its 12th year, The Manufacturer Top 100 scours the length and breadth of the nation to find the 100 most dynamic leaders and innovators in manufacturing. It celebrates the heroes of UK manufacturing and recognises their contribution to Net Zero, Digital Transformation, Innovation and Leadership. Becky was nominated in the Unsung Hero category.
Becky says: “It has been amazing to be named in the Top 100 and as an Exemplar within manufacturing. Little did I think when I entered the industry four years ago that it would lead to this.
“I think maybe my holistic approach to the importance of mental wellbeing resonated with the judges. It is something that I have a passion for, and I have recently fully qualified as a Reiki Practitioner. I enjoy bringing these additional skills to the workplace. I’ve also worked hard to ensure women have a voice in the business, advocating for balance and inclusion wherever I can.”
Becky previously worked for companies based on strong values before joining Encirc.
“I never thought I would work in manufacturing but key for me was to work for a values led business rather than choosing a certain industry, that is what is important,” reveals Becky.
In addition to her recognition from The Manufacturer, Becky was then approached by Enginuity to be one of their 365 faces of STEM.
Enginuity pledges to share the remarkable women and their allies who are shaping the future of STEM. They saw Becky as a perfect role model for her efforts to make STEM inclusive to all and to highlight how women can make a real difference in the workplace.
Becky received her Top 100 presentation at an awards ceremony in the NEC in Birmingham at the start of the month.
Mike Hayes, Beverages Engineering Manager, was also named in the Unsung Hero category for The Manufacturer Top 100 being recognised for his vast wealth of experience, technical expertise, leadership, and mentorship which have been crucial in not only achieving significant business outcomes but also in empowering those around him to excel.
Mike was unable to attend the awards ceremony due to prior commitments.
