Encirc scoops four top industry awards

November 2023

Glass bottle manufacturer and filler, Encirc, has enjoyed an incredible week of success as the work of the innovative, industry-leading company continues to be recognised by its fellow peers.

The British Glass, ‘Glass Focus Awards’ and the Manufacturer MX Awards are two of the top award ceremonies in industry and for Encirc to scoop four wins is indeed a considerable feat and fitting testimony to their progressive approach to business.

Managing Director Adrian Curry was delighted: “What a tremendous achievement for the Encirc team to be recognised across the board in recent days by our industry peers. It means so much to us all.

“It is a resounding affirmation of the purpose of our business which is great people, great place and great future. On those foundations, accolades like these are built.”

He added: “This recognition gives us the confidence to meet the challenges that lie ahead, safe in the knowledge that we are progressing in the right direction.

“Our successes are undoubtedly the result of the hard work of all our staff daily and I have nothing but the highest respect for them.

“I would like to congratulate everyone who helped to achieve these amazing successes including our loyal customers.”

Adrian continued: “That said, we will not rest on our laurels. Glass is the most sustainable packaging in the supply chain, it is infinitely recyclable and is best for taste too.

“We will continue to strive to make it the product of choice as we all work towards a sustainable future together.”

On Wednesday, November 15, Encirc Beverages won the Operational Excellence award, based on its Bristol-based site ‘The Park’, at the industry leading The Manufacturer MX awards.

Encirc Beverages MD, Richard Lloyd said: “Operational Excellence is the foundation of any supply chain and therefore to be recognised as the best in the UK is something we will cherish. It is wonderful recognition for the skill and dedication of everyone at Encirc Beverages.”

On the following evening, Encirc picked up three further gongs at the Glass Focus Awards. It won the Innovation Solution award (based on its 25 year anniversary digital bottle), the Marketing Impact award (based on a new mission to create zero carbon glass) and the Strengthening Business Through People award (based a rostered training overhaul in the business).

Well done also to shortlisted pair for the rising star award at the British Glass Awards – Beccy Adcock and Megan McElroy! A fantastic effort from two of their top young achievers at Encirc.

A fitting tribute was also paid to their outgoing MD Adrian Curry by British Glass and all present for his immense contribution to the glass industry over the past 25 years.

Meanwhile, Encirc’s Finance Director Sean Murphy has been short-listed in the Large Business category of the Institute of Directors in Northern Ireland, Director of the Year Awards 2023.
