Encirc has appointed marketing and sustainability expert, Fiacre O’Donnell, to head of strategic development.

The new role will see Fiacre join the senior leadership team to direct the company’s communication strategy of Encirc’s 360 offering to further raise its profile among both customers and team members. Fiacre will also be responsible for introducing a new CSR programme and creating a 10-year plan to enhance Encirc’s sustainability activity, developing commitments to further minimise the company’s environmental impact.

Fiacre has been a key part of the Encirc team, working not just to build the company’s brand identity, but also establish it as a leader in sustainable manufacturing. Most recently, he has worked as Encirc’s marketing manager, where he was charged with developing the business’s Glass, Beverages and Logistics brands.

Speaking about his new role, Fiacre said: “I joined the company in 1998, and have been privileged to watch it evolve with the market and grow into the company it is today.

“Now we have a fantastic opportunity to build on Encirc’s current position to support customers to further boost the efficiency of their supply chain, while helping the business to become one of the most sustainable manufacturers in the industry.”

Adrian Curry, managing director at Encirc, added: “Fiacre is a highly valued member of the Encirc team, and he’s played an integral role in developing our brand and raising the profile of our product offering with customers. He has produced incredible work for the business and, with this promotion, will help us further strengthen our place in the industry in the future.”
