Vidrala completes acquisition of Encirc

Following an extensive bid process, market-leading container glass manufacturing, filling and logistics company, Encirc, has been acquired by Vidrala.

Encirc will join Vidrala retaining its identity under the management of the current team, led by Managing Director, Adrian Curry. With almost 1,200 employees, Encirc has two state of the art manufacturing plants, in Derrylin, Northern Ireland and Elton, Cheshire. The Derrylin and Elton plants manufacture container glass for the UK and Ireland food and drink sectors with the Elton plant also providing a beverage filling and logistics service.

Adrian Curry, Managing Director at Encirc, said: “Vidrala has a sizeable presence in Europe and has committed to supporting Encirc’s continued development and investment. This will ensure that the business will continue to grow, innovate, maintain and enhance its market-leading position to the benefit of Encirc’s employees, customers, suppliers and local communities alike”.
