Glass Recycling

Glass is 100% permanent. It's unique, the only material used for packaging that retains all its qualities even when recycled. That means that no matter how many times you recycle a bottle or jar, it will be just as good as it was when it was first made.

At Encirc, we use recycled glass in our process. Collected from bottle banks, this glass is taken to a glass treatment plant where it is crushed and all the various non-glass materials, caps and labels are removed.

The recycled glass (cullet) is then separated and checked, and then provided to us as a good quality raw material which can be mixed with various other raw materials and processed in the melting furnace to form new containers.

Once the consumer has finished with the container and deposits it for recycling, this process can be repeated again and again; an infinite number of recycles - with no loss of quality.

The benefits of recycling glass include a reduction in: landfill, energy usage, raw material requirements, pollution and emissions.
